The Hebrew Free Loan Association is proud to provide zero-interest,
no-fee loans  for Jewish borrowers in Washington State
Before you fill out the loan application, please note that your application is only complete once this form is filled out and your guarantors have filled out and submitted their forms.
Payment terms: 
  • Loan repayments are tailored to the applicant during the loan interview.
Borrowers must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a Washington State resident, having lived in Washington for at least 6 months, or be a student studying at an accredited college,  and be Jewish
  • Have some income for which to repay the loan
  • Must complete the Borrower application form in full
 
Guarantors: All loans require guarantor(s) to co-sign on the loan.
  • Loans up to $2,500: 1 guarantor
  • Loans of up to $5,000: 2 guarantors
Guarantors must meet the following criteria:
  • Have some income for which to repay the loan
  • Must complete the guarantor form in full
  • HFLA prefers that at least one guarantor live in Washington State
Process
  • Applications are considered complete once you and your guarantor(s) submit completed applications
  • Completed applications are reviewed by HFLA’s Administrator and deemed loan worthy
  • You will be contacted to schedule an interview
  • Immediately following your interview, a decision will be made and you will be contacted the next day by HFLA’s administrator to let you know if your loan is approved
  • If the loan is approved, you and your guarantors must each sign a promissory note and when those are received, then the funds are disbursed
