Guarantors
Repayment
HFLA loans above $1,000 require one qualified guarantor. A guarantor agrees to repay the loan if the borrower is unable to do so. Guarantors help protect HFLA's charitable revolving loan fund so it remains available for future borrowers.
We'll explain the guarantor's responsibilities before any documents are signed.
HFLA loans are always interest-free. We'll work with you to establish a monthly repayment schedule before you accept your loan.
General Loans
typically repaid within 3 to 5 years
Student Loans
typically repaid within 6 years
